Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Karu, you accept these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. During sign-up, acceptance is collected by Clerk and associated with the account creation event.

Karu receives user-provided data, organises it, may use AI to propose drafts and presents calculations, indicators and actions. Karu is not accounting, tax advice, an audit, payment system, inventory system or a replacement for professional advice.

Results depend on the quality, freshness and review of the data provided. You must confirm drafts before making them official.

You must provide truthful information, keep credentials secure and use only accounts and businesses you are authorised to access. You are responsible for actions through your account and for having a lawful basis to upload third-party data.

You may not use Karu for unlawful activity, abuse, unauthorised access, deliberate malware or interference with the service.

You retain rights in the data you upload. You grant Karu only the permissions needed to host, process and display that data to provide the service.

We will not use business documents, recipes, prices or margins for advertising. We may use aggregated, non-identifying technical data for security and service improvement, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Applicable features, limits and prices are shown when you subscribe. Payments may be processed by an external provider identified at checkout. Changes or cancellation take effect according to the subscription terms shown at that time.

We may change features or prices for future versions and will give reasonable notice of material changes where applicable.

Karu, its brand, software, design and documentation belong to Karu or its licensors. These terms do not transfer intellectual property beyond the limited licence needed to use the service.

We aim to keep Karu available and accurate, but interruptions, errors, delays or incomplete results can occur. You remain responsible for pricing, purchasing, production, food safety, tax and business decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Karu is not liable for indirect losses or decisions made without appropriate review of the data and results presented.

We may limit or suspend an account to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law or address a breach of these terms. You may stop using the service and request account closure through the Contact page.

These terms are governed by the law applicable to Karu's operator, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
